We're having a reunion March 8-17! Historian
Guides Jack
Waugh and Ed Bearss are
hosting a party for HistoryAmerica Regulars. Julia Brown and Charlene
Corris plan to go, and new travelers are welcome, too, as we traverse
from New Orleans to Galveston. We'll spend two fun days in New Orleans
before boarding the legendary Delta Queen. Don't miss this opportunity
to reunite with Ed and Jack, renew old friendships, and meet new acquaintances.
Put it on your calendar!
Also in March is "Apache Wars: On the Warpath with Geronimo and
Cochise," one of our most popular tours with one of our most popular
Historian Guides, Neil Mangum. We gather in Phoenix for this week-long
learning vacation of one of the most epic struggles of white against
Indian in all of American history. Make your reservation soon!

News Bits From HistoryAmerica
Erin Cameron, who was with us for so many years,
had baby Jamie on June 30. He is adorable, and both mother and son are
doing well. Erin, her mom, and Jamie stopped by the office about a week
ago. We all fell in love with Jamie, with the possible exception of Jefferson,
the office cat, who was not happy with all the attention he received!
If you haven't looked lately, check out the HistoryAmerica
website. It's still under construction, but Norma Pierce, our new webmaster,
has made terrific improvements. The 2006 schedule of events will be presented
in late August, with a new look and easier maneuvering on the site. |
