2006 Traveler's Guide

BookCoverThe 2006 Traveler's Guide is on its way to you! Former HistoryAmerica travelers will receive this guide within the next few days. For the first time, the entire brochure is in full color, with individual maps for each tour and cruise on the schedule. If you have not traveled with us and would like to receive a copy, please send your name and mailing address to us at tours@historyamerica.com.

Beginning September 1, 2005, the entire 2006 schedule will be on our website at www.historyamerica.com. Webmaster Norma Pierce has redesigned the site, giving it a new look that makes it easier than ever to find the details on a particular tour or cruise and the Historian Guides who lead them.

MontanaAnother success

We recently completed another successful "Lewis and Clark" tour with Historian Guide Gary Moulton. It was exciting from beginning to end, including a 5.6 magnitude earthquake with the epicenter just 13 miles from our hotel in Dillon, Montana, on June 25.

Photos: We watched the reenactors in the picture above, members of the Lewis and Clark Corps of Discovery, Three Forks, Montana, at the headwaters of the Missouri River 200 years to the day after the actual event. In the picture at right, Historian Guide Gary Moulton is presented an Indian pipe by the Lewis and Clark expedition reenactors.

A new version of the Lewis and Clark tour will begin in Portland on June 19, 2006. Details are available here. Make your plans now to join us!

News Bits From HistoryAmerica

Only three spaces remain for the Antietam and Gettysburg tour, led by Historian Guide James McPherson. Reserve your space now.

There is still availability for the Pearl Harbor tour with Ed Bearss in December. Be sure to take advantage of this great opportunity to be there on the 64th anniversary of the tragic event.
