Pearl Harbor Anniversary Tour

HistoryAmerica is still accepting signups for this one-time-only tour of Pearl Harbor. We meet at the Waikiki Parc Hotel in Honolulu, on Monday, Dec 5; and on Wednesday, Dec 7, we will attend the poignant commemorative ceremonies marking the 64th anniversary of the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. Other highlights include a two-day visit to the Big Island, touring sites of historic significance and natural wonders with legendary historian and Marine, Ed Bearss. For details, see Pearl Harbor Dec 7, 1941, and call Julia Brown at (800) 628-8542 for reservations.

Italian Campaign
of World War II

The May cruise, Invasion of Italy: World War II From Sicily to Rome, has just eight openings. This will be an incredible opportunity to journey from the beaches of Sicily, through the straits of Messina, up the west coast of Italy, to the beachhead of Anzio, under the tutelage of WWII combat veteran Ed Bearss. An optional pre-cruise visit to Malta and World War II sites is available, as is a post-cruise exploration of the Eternal City. Call now to make your reservations!

News Bits From HistoryAmerica

Julia Brown and her mother, Trudy, were onboard the historic Delta Queen last week as she sailed from Chattanooga to Cincinnati. It was good to see old friends, and make new ones, as Brian Wills educated (and entertained) the passengers with talks on Nathan Bedford Forrest and William Dorsey Pender.

Updated information on the status of 2006 cruises with The Delta Queen Steamboat Co. will be sent to you as soon as we know more — we hope in the next couple of weeks.

Silas Cochise, grandson of the legendary Chiricahua Apache chief of the same name, will be a special guest for our Apache Wars tour led by Neil Mangum, March 19–26, 2006.

See pictures from the Men, Rails, and Mountains tour with Mike Koury from last summer, and then take a look at Barons, Bars, & Brothels: How the West was Fun! being led by Mike in 2006.
